Inkjet & Laser Cartridges Recycling Program

Why Recycle:
Lions Clubs International selected environmental service as an activity for Lions Clubs because it believes that the preservation of our natural resources and the improvement of the quality of life are goals toward which all concerned people should strive. It is the responsibility of us all to care for our planet.

Lions enjoy a unique position of leadership as stewards of the earth. Our positive results will encourage others to undertake environmental services. Efforts multiply and every effort is needed.

Each year millions of printer cartridges end up in our landfills. By recycling cartridges we can accomplish two objectives. First, we can reduce the amount of waste that goes into our landfills. Secondly, we can turn empty cartridges into cash which will go to support our programs for the blind and visually impaired.

How To Start:
CompuPrint, a manufacturer and distributor of premium quality laser and ink jet printer cartridges, will purchase the empty cartridges that we collect. All funds collected will go to support our programs and services for the blind and visually impaired.

Collection boxes will be provided for your use. Order the collection boxes by calling the North Carolina Lions Foundation at 1-800-662-7401, Ext. 0. Be sure to check the boxes frequently. When you have accumulated enough cartridges, send them to the NCLF. Use the same methods that you use for remitting used eyeglasses.

Please do not mix cartridges and glasses. They may be sent in the same box, but should be in separate bags within the box. Please indicate your club and the number of items being sent.

Coupons are also available for purchasing cartridges at a discount. Each time a purchase is made, CompuPrint will donate a portion to the North Carolina Lions Foundation.
